So many apps for health declarations, electronic health books, vaccination, COVID-19 prevention,... are being rolled out that people are “confused” and find it hard to use pandemic prevention apps. So how is a practical solution for anti-pandemic apps being implemented? Let's find out with Sbiz.vn!

Pandemic prevention apps

Pandemic prevention apps

Why are there so many pandemic prevention apps?

Today many information technology (IT) applications have been launched; they are powerful tools that help the State manage and people be more proactive in preventing COVID-19. However, many people still don't really pay attention to or use pandemic prevention apps.

Lack of consistency and information continuity

As the COVID-19 situation remains complex, to support pandemic prevention and contact tracing, various agencies have launched a series of health declaration apps, anti-pandemic apps and websites such as Bluezone, the electronic health book, VHD, tokhaiyte.vn, suckhoe.dancuquocgia.gov.vn,…

In addition, the Ministry of Information and Communications has developed 6 COVID-19 prevention platforms:

  • A platform for health declarations and managing entry to and exit from public places by QR code.

  • A vaccination management platform.

  • A platform for managing sampling and returning test results.

  • A contact tracing support platform.

  • A quarantine monitoring platform.

  • A data analysis platform supporting leaders' direction and administration.

Of these, 3 platforms are mandatory for nationwide use:

  • A platform for health declarations and managing entry to and exit from public places by QR code.

  • A vaccination management platform.

  • A platform for managing sampling and returning test results.

In reality, many people are frustrated and confused at having to use so many anti-pandemic apps and platforms.

According to Mr. N.V.P (Thanh Tri, Hanoi), when he got his first dose at a medical facility, he was asked to declare via the VHD app and update his information in the electronic health book. However, for his second dose, he was asked to declare on Bluezone. When he declared on this app, his entire health declaration history in the VHD app was not carried over to Bluezone.

Similarly, Ms. Thao (Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi) said that every day she hears the ward loudspeaker announce that people must install the pandemic prevention app via the Bluezone app, but at work her company she has to make her health declaration on another app. This confuses her; she doesn't know which one is the official anti-pandemic app.

IoT not yet built into the apps

One of the most anticipated applications when IoT (Internet of Things) emerged was improving human health systems, reducing stress on medical professionals and helping patients treat themselves at home without going to hospital. Such pandemic prevention applications hold huge potential in the “healthcare industry”.

The consequences of making health declarations everywhere

Today many people make health declarations on many different apps, which causes many consequences, such as:

Personal information leaks

Making health declarations on many apps can leave all personal information being displayed publicly, with no sign of encryption. Information such as full name, phone number, residential address and year of birth... is not encrypted, with no measures limiting access, so anyone can view other people's data. Personal information can be stolen or used by bad actors for other purposes.

Phone memory overloaded by too many apps

Downloading too many apps for health declarations overloads phone memory, because some phones have little storage, and installing too many apps slows them down. This leaves people tired and worried, as there is still no effective solution for unifying everything into a single pandemic prevention app.

People are confused

Sharing about having to choose among so many anti-pandemic apps, Mr. Tran Minh Hai (Long Bien, Hanoi) said: “My residential group leader asked me to install the Bluezone app to make health declarations, but at work my company asked me to declare through another app. This confuses me; I don't know which app the authorities require, and I don't know which one to keep, because my phone has 3 apps for declarations, tracing,…”

A practical solution for anti-pandemic apps

Having many pandemic prevention apps leaves people confused and unsure exactly which anti-pandemic app to use.

What did the Deputy Prime Minister say?

On the afternoon of 10 September 2021 at the Government headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Deputy Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, required that from now on there be only one technology application for pandemic prevention, convenient for people to use and fully meeting information and data requirements. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed: “Applications and solutions must be convenient for people to use and serve pandemic prevention in practice”.

Information on people's contact history, travel, place of residence... is managed centrally and uniformly and used only for pandemic prevention, ensuring information safety and security, and is not used for any other purpose.

Applying cloud computing, information storage systems and IoT solutions

Recently, cloud computing has revolutionized the computer industry, changing how resources are used and how information is operated, stored and processed. Applying IoT from sensor devices to cloud management platforms is a breakthrough in smart healthcare and has significantly changed the “healthcare industry”.

Applying cloud computing and IoT solutions

Integrating cloud computing and blockchain is the future direction for the healthcare industry; combining IoT with real-time remote patient monitoring lets patients proactively control and flexibly monitor their health. Furthermore, IoT technology platforms let doctors easily track data on patients' health in real time.

Using pandemic prevention apps combined with cloud computing and IoT solutions will help managers easily track and analyze data accurately. If you are interested in IoT solutions, contact Sbiz.vn to discuss in more detail.
